For My Dad
Husband, father, grandfather, elder, deacon, uncle, and friend are just some of the many titles my dad, Alton Williams holds. But the most recent title he holds is CANCER SURVIVOR!
In 2018, large masses were found on both of his kidneys. Only a few weeks after the masses were found, he underwent major surgery to remove both kidneys. Through prayers and God’s grace - the cancer didn’t spread. After his recovery he began weekly dialysis treatments. Through it all he has kept his faith, perseverance and strength, and he is now cancer free! His medical team has confirmed that he is in great health and is now ready to receive a kidney transplant. And he couldn’t be more deserving.
My father has paved the way for his family and others in so many ways. He has been an example, a leader, a servant of God’s kingdom through ministry at church, and a stronghold over our family. No matter what trial he has been faced with, his faith in God has always been bigger! He is truly a God fearing man who loves the Lord, who embodies strength, who exudes love in all he does and who puts the needs of those he loves before his own. Because of all he has done for his family, we too want to do all we can for him.
His wife, two children, six grandkids and extended family are reaching out to everyone in search of someone kind enough to donate a kidney to our father. Prayerfully this message reaches the right hearts to hear our plea.
